Fired Up Clay Co. offers a rotating schedule of pottery classes and hands-on workshops designed for beginners, hobbyists, and actively practicing ceramic artists. Whether you’re committing to a multi-week class or joining a one-time workshop, registration is now open for upcoming sessions.
All classes and workshops take place in our community pottery studio in El Paso and are led in a welcoming, supportive environment.
Multi-Week Pottery Classes
Our multi-week pottery classes meet once per week in 2 hour sessions, allowing students time to build skills, practice techniques, and develop confidence with clay.
Classes focus on:
- Wheel throwing
- Hand-building techniques
- Form, function, and surface design
- Basic glazing and firing knowledge
Skill Levels
- Beginner
- Intermediate
- Advanced
No experience is required for beginner-level classes.
Multi-Week Pottery Class Registration
3 Week Wheel Throwing (Saturdays 10/3, 10/10 & 10/17)
Perfect for beginners and those looking to build on their skills, this hands-on class is a great introduction to the potter’s wheel in a relaxed, supportive studio environment. Whether you’re completely new to clay or returning to the wheel, you’ll have the opportunity to learn, practice, and create your own ceramic pieces.
Over the course of 3 weeks, students will learn the fundamentals of wheel throwing, including centering, shaping, trimming, and decorating. There will be plenty of time to practice and develop your skills, with step-by-step guidance from our instructor along the way. The focus is on building confidence, exploring creativity, and enjoying the process.
Registration includes everything needed for class (clay, tools, glazes, and firings) so you can simply show up and focus on making.
Class Dates: 10/3, 10/10 & 10/17; 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
